About Me

Carmel, Indiana, United States
Meredith (Saad) Loughmiller was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She went to Indiana University where she majored in Elementary Education and took a series of fine arts and photography courses. After graduating, Meredith taught in Chicago Public Schools for 8 years. After 9 years in the Windy City she moved to Carmel, Indiana to settle down with her young family. Following a few years as a stay-at-home mom, Meredith embarked on something for herself utilizing many skills and talents that sat dormant for too long! Lo and behold: ml photography. Although Meredith continues to enjoy staying home with her three children, ML Photography has been a successful endeavor for four years now!

Creative fun at the Splash Park

Maya's cousin Grayson was in town with his family.  I swore I was just taking my camera for fun (I've wanted to take pictures at this particular park all summer), but I changed my mind and edited them!!!  I had way to much fun playing around with them.  Two blog posts in the past few days = Mother in law was with us all week.

Uncle J.T. in a nutshell... very "hands on"

My Kids at Assembly Hall

I've promised people some shots of my own kids.  Here's some from a little photo shoot I did as a gift for my husband.. pretty much the biggest IU basketball fan I know.  We stopped in Bloomington on our drive home from Jasper, IN and some incredibly nice man offered to let us inside.  VERY impromptu.  The kids definitely enjoyed it though.  I wonder if they have any idea how brainwashed they are?

Clearly they chose this pose...

Very rare moment!

WHAT?!  Sold OUT!

A New Family

Photographing little babies and their parents is yet again a WHOLE different ball game... and much like my other shoots, I love it!  I'm hoping to get more practice with this age and positioning parents candidly with a little one while still getting great views of each person.  I have so many ideas for the next time I work with this dynamic.  Here are some of my favorite shots of these awesome, relaxed new parents (which is rare), and their sweet baby girl!

AAAAAnd she's SPENT!

An Evening Summer Session

Taking advantage of the long days, I did this photo shoot at 6pm during the week.  It wasn't too hot and the lighting worked well.

These kids are gorgeous.  I told their mother she should use these photos of the kids as head shots for a modeling agency... and I was being serious.  However, it does take more than cute kids to get great photos, and I think I accomplished that.  ;)  Now the only child that poses a challenge to me so far is my own 3 year old!!  I have a feeling that's because she's just tired of me chasing her around with a camera.  As soon as I don't have professional pictures to work on and post I plan to squeeze in a session I did of my own kids at Indiana University's Assembly Hall!

Thank you to the Ellis family for having faith in me. <3

As usual I threw in different processing adjustments to show the different looks you can give the same photograph.
