About Me

Meredith (Saad) Loughmiller was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She went to Indiana University where she majored in Elementary Education and took a series of fine arts and photography courses. After graduating, Meredith taught in Chicago Public Schools for 8 years. After 9 years in the Windy City she moved to Carmel, Indiana to settle down with her young family. Following a few years as a stay-at-home mom, Meredith embarked on something for herself utilizing many skills and talents that sat dormant for too long! Lo and behold: ml photography. Although Meredith continues to enjoy staying home with her three children, ML Photography has been a successful endeavor for four years now!

Little Man

I've actually craved taking this little man's photos since I first met him.  That happens to me a lot and sometimes I accidently say it out loud to people!

I rarely want to admit this, but I'm going to anyway... This kid was soooo easy.  He kind of dictated what he wanted to do, but as long as I followed him around it wasn't hard to make him smile!  Here he is... Three years old!  Isn't he cute?!

Such a sweet profile!

Wild Charmer!

This little guy charms me everytime I see him!  I just want to take him home with me when we're finished with pictures!  You can just see how much fun we have.  After looking at these you'll want to play with me too! :D

Portrait style!

"Awe shucks!"

I could eat him UP!

Personality

One of the best compliments I get is when people tell me I've captured their child's or their family's personality in my photographs.  This is one family that makes it fun to do this!  Their son is aweful handsome, but he has as much personality as his parents do too.  It's been fun working with them!

Goofball!

...Little different effect with this picture...

Time Flies

I can't say enough about how great it was to shoot for some good old friends!  I met this dad my sophomore year in college and watched as he fell for one of my new friends later that same year.   This led to a beautiful wedding and two adorable little girls full of personality (much like their parents).  We've had A LOT of fun over the years!  It was pretty cool to be behind the lens for this family while they were in town visiting.

My favorite thing about this picture are mom and dad's hands.  Makes me smile.  Life with young kids is crazy, don't forget about your spouse.

I could just eat her up!  Happy happy baby.

This is Miss "A".  She's lively and tenatious.

One is My Favorite

I am very passionate about capturing kids at the age of one!  Partly because it's a huge benchmark age...  your baby is no longer a little baby, the first year is behind you, it starts to get easier, no more bottles, less diapers, on to walking and talking, and playing more and more.  However, the main reasons is because I missed getting a professional photo of my first born at this age and I regret it to this day.  We had just moved to Indianapolis from Chicago a week before her birthday and she was 14 months old by the time I had it done.  Her hair was so much longer and she looked different already.  One is the only age where baby meets toddler.

When this family mentioned to me that they had been trying to get ahold of their photographer to schedule pictures and were having trouble, I jumped at the chance to help them before time got away.  Besides, as you can see who wouldn't want to take this cuties photo!  And his personality is as cute as his face!

I'm glad my son was kind of enough to lend him this bow tie!
