Meredith (Saad) Loughmiller was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She went to Indiana University where she majored in Elementary Education and took a series of fine arts and photography courses. After graduating, Meredith taught in Chicago Public Schools for 8 years. After 9 years in the Windy City she moved to Carmel, Indiana to settle down with her young family. Following a few years as a stay-at-home mom, Meredith embarked on something for herself utilizing many skills and talents that sat dormant for too long! Lo and behold: ml photography. Although Meredith continues to enjoy staying home with her three children, ML Photography has been a successful endeavor for four years now!

More than Talent

Have I mentioned that I love kids?  I mean LOVE kids.  As in they make me so happy and are so much fun to work with.  After this session with a family that I am addicted to working with because they genuinely have fun during the session, the youngest wanted to show me his room and play with toys.  You know that's my claim to fame with this job right?  A necessary ingredient to doing family photos is having children and families like you and work well with you.  The talent and knowledge behind the camera is incredibly important, but without a genuine interest in people, good luck shooting portraits that capture real emotion and authentic interactions!

On our way to take pictures...

I COULD NOT make a decision on which ones to post of this kid!!!

His version of "cross your arms"... turned out cuter than mine.

I'm so happy I got this little guys real smile!

Pretty much makes me melt.

They look nothing alike and yet they are soooo stinking cute.

Photo Swap!

Bailey of Bailey Smith Photography is the cousin of my sister in law.  I've mentioned her on my blog before with regard to a wedding that we shot together.  Besides the fact that we love Bailey and pretty much pretend she is related to us too, she is so great to work with.  She photographed my family and I did hers during this joint shoot.  Her family was so relaxed in front of the camera!  Lots of practice maybe?  I wish I could say the same for mine, but my kids were difficult at the ages of 4 and 2, and I don't really like having my picture taken!  However, she's good at what she does which means we'll be pleasantly surprised as always.  :)

Great Gift Idea!

It's been neat watching these girls grow and photograph them at different stages.  It seems like Miss H was a newborn just yesterday and here she's four months!  Mom had these taken as a surprise birthday gift for dad.

I love that last fall I have a picture of Miss M on this same bridge kissing her mommy's belly with this little one in it... and here they are sitting together and laughing.   :)
