About Me

Meredith (Saad) Loughmiller was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She went to Indiana University where she majored in Elementary Education and took a series of fine arts and photography courses. After graduating, Meredith taught in Chicago Public Schools for 8 years. After 9 years in the Windy City she moved to Carmel, Indiana to settle down with her young family. Following a few years as a stay-at-home mom, Meredith embarked on something for herself utilizing many skills and talents that sat dormant for too long! Lo and behold: ml photography. Although Meredith continues to enjoy staying home with her three children, ML Photography has been a successful endeavor for four years now!

Little girls

Boys and girls truly are NIGHT and DAY!  After the last shoot I posted, where I photographed little boys that did not sit still, this one was entirely different.  You have to appreciate the differences between boys and girls.  I adore them both.  These little angels just sat adoringly, or were carried around, and smiled on cue.  I knew each persons' personality before the shoot which helped me a little because I had an idea of certain things I wanted to capture.  The 3 year old's sense of humor and the 1 year old's huge smile and angelic side.  Mom and Dad were so sweet and although they weren't to keen to sit on the ground or fallen trees (can you blame them) they just went with the flow. (Note to self, bring blankets next time).  Here are my favorites of the "H" family.  To the mom's club friend of mine and someone with an art background herself, "H family mom, I hope your happy with these!"

A Family in Action

This photo shoot was amazing for me in more ways than one.  First of all, the family was awesome.  No joke.  I'm sorry for anyone who has to follow them. ;)  They were laid back, super nice, adorable, and their style matched mine perfectly.  Every shot was candid.  All I had to do was position myself around them in this beautiful setting by their home, tell them where to go and hang out, and shoot the pictures.  I really believe I got to know this family just by shooting pictures of them and watching them interact.  I could go into more detail and describe each person now, but I'll let the pictures speak for me!  Too anyone that wants to know my style,  This is it.  I like to call it AUTHENTIC.
(If you click on the photos it opens them up big and they have better clarity)

Thank you to the "G" family.  It was a great experience.  You are wonderful people and your boys couldn't be any cuter.
