Meredith (Saad) Loughmiller was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She went to Indiana University where she majored in Elementary Education and took a series of fine arts and photography courses. After graduating, Meredith taught in Chicago Public Schools for 8 years. After 9 years in the Windy City she moved to Carmel, Indiana to settle down with her young family. Following a few years as a stay-at-home mom, Meredith embarked on something for herself utilizing many skills and talents that sat dormant for too long! Lo and behold: ml photography. Although Meredith continues to enjoy staying home with her three children, ML Photography has been a successful endeavor for four years now!

Experienced

I don't know if it's because these kids have been photographed professionally since they were born, they are beautiful, their parents do a phenomenal job with them or what, but they do an amazing job during family photo sessions.  We should all be jealous.  Plain and simple.

In and Out

It's been so fun photographing this family (close personal friends) since their oldest was a baby.  They took a chance on me when I was starting out and keep coming back for more.  My heart is full.

We ended up moving in and out of the house a few times and really changed things up based on how the little ones were doing/cooperating.  Please know this is normal!  I never truly expect a session to go exactly as we plan or to end in an hour.  When you hire a photographer, they should get you a ton of great pictures in the amount of time it takes to get you those shots!

Little Star

One day my blog is going to show a compilation of this guy over time!  He really knows me now and although he plays shy at first, we always part ways as buddies!  I'm a big fan of his face AND his personality!  I always get portfolio worthy shots of him.

This REALLY happened!  He seriously winked.

Document It

I was excited to work with this smiley guy after working with him when he was only a few weeks old.  Mom is so relaxed and go with the flow during our sessions that I swear that we will ALL always end up happy.

My favorite part of our conversation was when mom asked what to do with his hair.  "Should I comb it?" she said.  My response, "No.  You should document it... and we are!"  These babies change!  Document all the special little things about their looks that make them so darn lovable.  My middle sons hair stuck straight up for the first year of his life.  Most babies at 3 months have the patchy hair that's thin on the sides and back and thick on top.  What do we do with this look?  We document it.  It's adorable.

Blessed

When I thanked this family, I told them they were such a great group of people and that it was neat how they were able to get together for this photo opportunity.  They told me they were truly "blessed".  They are Blessed.  We are all Blessed in one way or another, but what better way to be Blessed, than by having a close relationship with family.
