Precious Newborn

This little guy was so good!  We woke him up when we got started and although we had a hard time getting him back to sleep, I don't think he gave us ANY fits.  With my own newborn at home, and this being this couple's first baby, I kept thinking... I hope they know how good he is!  Mom and dad did not seem like first time parents and I had such a good time meeting them!

1 Year with a Cake Smash!

You know One is my favorite age to photograph right?!  Here is a compilation of your basic one year pictures taken indoors at the client's house, preparation for a cake smash (I think we were waiting for the wrinkles to come out of the tutu in the dryer and I thought, let's throw some Cheerios at her to keep her busy and get some cute pics in the meantime), and then the actual cake smash!   What a doll baby!

Now mom will understand why it took me awhile to get these back to her.  It's not just because I took them shortly after I had my son... it's also because there were way too many cute shots I wanted to give her.

For Mom

I want to start by saying there is no bigger compliment than when a wonderful client passes my name along, or a friend of a client sees their photos and decides to hire me for a photo shoot.  Thank you to all of you.  That's how I met this attractive group here!

This family was lucky to have an unusually warmer day for their end of December session after having to reschedule because of a snowy Saturday earlier in the month.  They were a pleasure to work with.  The "kids" did this as a Christmas gift for their mom.  (super sweet).  I've said time and time again... parents and grandparents love this as a gift... keep it in mind!  I like all of these, but the candid ones are my favorite.

Let it Snow

This family braved it out in the cold this past Wednesday to do a mini session in the snow!  Snow is just another beautiful part of nature that calls to be photographed, so it's especially fun to use it in portraits.

Mom did a great job leading the session and with their "winter wardrobe" by throwing in just a pop of color with their black winter coats.  These boys (dad included) kept their charm and never complained!

I love how mom tied in green to their outfits and yet everyone kept bundled up in neutral black coats.  GREAT idea.
