Meredith (Saad) Loughmiller was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She went to Indiana University where she majored in Elementary Education and took a series of fine arts and photography courses. After graduating, Meredith taught in Chicago Public Schools for 8 years. After 9 years in the Windy City she moved to Carmel, Indiana to settle down with her young family. Following a few years as a stay-at-home mom, Meredith embarked on something for herself utilizing many skills and talents that sat dormant for too long! Lo and behold: ml photography. Although Meredith continues to enjoy staying home with her three children, ML Photography has been a successful endeavor for four years now!

Family Family Family

I've mentioned this before, but I LOVE when a matriarch or patriarch takes advantage of family all being in the same place at the same time.  It's the type of photo session that is impossible to regret.  It forces you to get portraits of everyone together (especiallly if you aren't the most proactive about doing this) and furthermore no one is left out because he or she is behind the lens.

In this case, I came to a house which always makes it easy for a large group.  It's not my first choice because I find myself limited with lighting, backgrounds, etc., but sometimes with A LOT of people and portraits you only need one really good spot!  Too much moving around and you'd lose everyone's interest and take too long anyway.  The trees in their backyard grabbed my interest emmediately for several reasons and this area worked out really well.  We were strangers to each other initially and yet when I left I thought... it would be nice to see them again.  That's always a great feeling.

I love when couples will do this!  You rarely think to steal a moment when you're with your kids, so take the chance when you get it!

This momma photographs too well, if she's not a model she should consider it!

The three kids (without spouses).... can't believe I missed the sunglasses on the youngest son's head initially!  It's ok, this was the only photo that had it.  Oddly, it's my favorite.

Proud grandparents

Time for the kids...

I also knew the trees would be a nice ending for the girls who were "spent" from taking the family photos!
